SKALA LAKONIEN - Die Kirche von Agios Georgios in Panigiristra Skala

In der byzantinischen Kreuzkirche mit Kuppel und Narthex, deren typologische, bauliche und morphologische Merkmale aus dem 10. Jh. stammen, sind noch einige Wandgemälde zu sehen, die wahrscheinlich aus der Zeit ihres Baus stammen. Ihre Kuppel ist nur mit 4 Fenstern ausgestattet.
In einem offiziellen Bericht wird sie als „eine Kirche, die den 10 Dörfern des Ellos gemeinsam ist“ aufgeführt.
